AJ Luce sources, underwrites, and closes development/value-add real estate deals for Monument Realty. Since starting at Monument Realty, he has been heavily involved with the T Street and Chinatown developments, and is pursuing several other promising opportunities. AJ has more than a decade of industry experience and earned his Master of Science in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University. He is also an active member of the National Association for Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI).

Amy Phillips

Vice President of Development

Amy Phillips joined Monument Realty in 2004 and is a vice president with the company.  As part of our development team Amy manages office and multi-family projects from the entitlement process through disposition, including design oversight, financing,  permitting, lease-up and investor and community relations.

In addition to her work at Monument Realty, Amy has served on the Executive Committee of the Capitol Riverfront BID for ten years. Prior to joining Monument she spent five years with the Donohoe Companies.  She received a Bachelor of Science degree from James Madison University and  a Master of Urban and Environmental Planning degree from the University of Virginia.

Angela Mayle (Angie)

Controller

Angie Mayle has been with Monument Realty since 1999 and is the head of our accounting department, overseeing all accounting functions from the daily operations to the monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and filings. One of the company’s longest serving employees, Angie has been involved in the accounting for every project in our portfolio. Additionally, she handles human resources and related items such as payroll and insurance.

Bethany Allen

Vice President of Leasing

Bethany Allen is the vice president of leasing for Monument Realty. Since joining the Monument team in 2005, she has been responsible for the leasing of Monument Realty’s commercial office portfolio and creating new commercial business opportunities throughout metropolitan Washington, DC.

An 18-year veteran in the industry, Bethany has been very active as a leader in the Washington, DC Chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and serves on the Boards of Directors for the Ballston BID and Ballston Gives, of which she’s a founding board member. Along with her many leadership roles in the industry, she’s also received numerous awards, including the GWCAR Top Developer Agents Award multiple times and CoStar's Power Broker Award in 2006.

Bethany has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Environmental Science from East Stroudsburg University.

Candyce Garrison is tenant services coordinator for Monument Realty’s property management team, acting as tenant liaison and providing financial reporting for a variety of commercial and retail properties.

Chelsea Gifford

Office Manager

As the office manager, Chelsea is responsible for ensuring the office remains organized and that Monument Realty’s teams have everything they need to do their jobs efficiently and effectively. Along with administrative duties, she also works to assist with licensing and special projects.

Chelsea has an extensive background in retail and brings her customer service-oriented experience to every task that comes across her desk at Monument Realty. She has an Associate's Degree in Art History from Anne Arundel Community College and a degree in Liberal Arts from Jamestown Community College.

Colleen Kittell

Vice President of Marketing

Colleen Kittell serves as the vice president of marketing for Monument Realty. She is responsible for the corporate and property marketing for Monument Realty’s portfolio throughout the Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC markets.

Prior to joining Monument Realty, Colleen worked for both corporate in-house and marketing agency environments across the country. Her real estate industry experience includes Bozzuto, BRE Properties, Inc., and Related Companies. For Monument Realty, Colleen brings notable expertise in creating holistic, results-driven strategic marketing programs that encompass brand development, customer segmentation, media planning and analysis, and digital and social media campaigns.

Colleen holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia and a Masters of Arts from Georgetown University.

Danny Brooker

Director of Retail Acquisitions

Danny Brooker leads the efforts to build Monument Retail’s Urban Retail Acquisition Plan portfolio, purchasing retail assets throughout different sub-markets of Washington, DC. He also represents private clients in the acquisition and disposition of single tenant net lease property throughout the country.

David Forster

Vice President of Property Management

David Forster is responsible for overseeing all property management functions for retail, residential, and commercial properties at Monument Realty.

In addition to his role at Monument Realty, David is Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM)—Chapter 7 Treasurer and President-Elect, as well as the Board President of IREM—Chapter 8 and a Commissioner for the DC Estate Commission. Devin Keenan

Property Manager

Devin Keenan is the property manager for several of Monument Realty’s office and residential assets in Washington, DC and Maryland. Managing a portfolio comprised of over 780,000 SF, he ensures all ownership goals are achieved with regard to financial performance, capital improvement, leasing, and tenant satisfaction.

In addition to his role at Monument Realty, Devin is on the Board of Directors of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM)—Chapter 8 as the director of communications.

Devin holds a Real Property Administrator (RPA®) Designation from the Building and Office Management Institute (BOMI), as well as a Salesperson License from the DC Real Estate Commission. Additionally, he is a LEED Green Associate and Certified Property Management (CPM) Candidate. Devin received his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Miami University.

Edmund Hott (Sam)

Engineering Manager

Sam Hott has been in the industry since 1981 and joined Monument Realty in 2005. As engineering manager, he oversees all building engineers as well as third-party engineering contracts. Sam is also involved in tenant build-outs and works closely with construction managers on new projects to review plans for any work or alterations made to the buildings.

Sam is a designated Washington, DC 3rd-Class Stationary Steam Engineer.

Kameel Omar

Financial Analyst

Kenneth Meile

Vice President of Construction

Ken Meile brings over 25 years of experience in the construction industry to his role at Monument Realty. A member of Monument since 2006, he’s responsible for managing the day-to-day activities required for the design, permitting, construction, and sale/lease of high quality real estate construction projects. Some examples among the many projects Ken has managed are Columbia Center, 2055 L Street, Executive Plaza, 225 North Calvert Street, Avidian at 1210 Van Street, and One M.

Kirk Salpini

Senior Vice President of Development

Kirk Salpini has been with Monument Realty since 1998 and has played an instrumental role in our success. As senior vice president, Kirk directs all aspects of the development process, including feasibility, entitlement, design, construction, financing, investor relations, marketing, leasing, management, and disposition on commercial, mixed-use, and multi-family residential projects in the Washington, DC region.

Prior to Monument Realty, Kirk worked at Akridge Companies, Savage Fogarty Real Estate, and Western Development Corporation. He has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from James Madison University and an MBA from George Mason University.

Leigh Ann Kay

Marketing Coordinator

A member of Monument Realty’s marketing team, Leigh Ann Kay focuses on marketing initiatives for Oz Restaurant & Bar, an extension of Monument’s hospitality portfolio. She works closely with our vice president of marketing and the management at Oz to drive traffic and sales at the restaurant through on-site activations and digital outreach. Leigh Ann also helps coordinate menu development, streamlining operations, social media/digital curation, media placement, and event planning.

Lindsay Fry

Assistant Property Manager

Lindsay Fry is responsible for the management of Monument Realty’s 100 M Street property and is the main point of contact for all tenants and vendors. Her duties include financial reporting to the ownership, preparing annual budgets and reconciliation packages, overseeing capital and tenant construction projects, and managing all service contracts.

In addition to 100 M Street, Lindsay has been involved in the closeout of The Odyssey condominium building, the Hawthorn Condominium, and the Potomac Place Tower Condominium, as well as the construction management of the 55 M Street and Randolph Square properties.

Lindsay has a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Bates College.

Mark Pratt

Chief Operating Engineer

Mark Pratt has been in the industry since 1979, joining Monument Realty in 2005 after broad experience with many companies in construction and engineering in North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Washington, DC. Mark's responsibilities as the chief operating engineer include engineering and building operations, building owner punch-out inspections, as well as commissioning, starting up, and managing on-site construction. With his team, he also coordinates base building renovations, improvements, repairs, and special projects.

Mike Doughty

Property Manager

At Monument Realty, Mike Doughty is a member of our property management team responsible for overseeing 1100 13th Street and 4300 Wilson Boulevard. Among other Monument Realty properties, Mike has managed 100 M Street, Executive Plaza, and 2055 L Street.

Natalie Hasny

Director of Sales, Associate Broker

Natalie Hasny has served as director of sales for Monument Realty since 2004, managing and executing the sales of more than 1,100 residential transactions totaling over $500 million. As a licensed associate broker in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia, as well as a licensed salesperson in Florida, Natalie is well versed in the operations of the real estate market. Her years in the service industry have provided her a great understanding of the intricacies of making deals and the mechanics of building relationships.

Natalie's extensive network of contacts in the real estate industry and related services enable her to bring the highest level of comprehensive real estate services to clients. Properties she has successfully sold at Monument Realty include The Watergate, The Odyssey, Chase at Bethesda, and Potomac Place.

Ronnie Gibbons is a development manager at Monument Realty responsible for design, entitlements, and construction. He supports the acquisitions team during due diligence by assessing the site’s highest and best use, navigating constraints, and on-boarding consultants.

Teresa Rodgers

Property Administrator

Teresa Rodgers is a property administrator at Monument Realty. In her role, she allocates and processes vendor invoices for payment, invoices tenants and vendors for overtime services, facilitates service contract bids with vendors, prepares RFPs and service contracts for vendor services, and monitors maintenance by tenants.

Terry Fortune

Vice President of Construction

Terry Fortune has been with Monument Realty since 1999. In his role as vice president, Terry manages the construction team. In addition to managing the construction process from origination through turnover, he provides oversight on general construction-related matters and issues.

Terry previously worked for such companies as Turner Construction Company and Manor Care Health Services. He received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Military Institute.

Yovi Sever

Development Manager

Yovi Sever serves as Monument Realty’s in-house residential specialist, consulting and providing support to the project management team. As development manager, Yovi assists with analysis of market conditions, recent and future market trends, and interior design trends. He manages interior design finish specifications, unit layout and design, project unit pricing for both for-rent and condo sales. Yovi has played an instrumental role in many Monument Realty residential projects and currently serves as project manager for the full-entitlement conversion of the former Montgomery Village Golf Club into a large single-family residential development.

Yovi has an Associate Arts degree in Business Administration from Miami Dade Community College and attended Florida International University, with a focus on Business Administration.
